Great Food Ideas for Christmas Catering

Posted on 12/17/2021 by Redactie

Winter is cold, but ... the cold gives a lot of appetite! Winter dishes are among our favorite memories of the winter season because they are spicy, original, and simply unique - because you can't eat them in summer! So ... enjoy it now from the hand of our professionals!

  • VEGETABLES

Winter vegetables are becoming increasingly popular. Not only are they healthy, but they can also be grown and purchased regionally, thus protecting the environment. Winter vegetables include various types of cabbage, beets, and root vegetables such as beets and carrots or different kinds of salads such as lamb's lettuce.

Try seasonal dishes with winter vegetables from our food trucks!

  • CREPES

Straight from the pan, with hot liquid chocolate... Ideally with fruit, either kiwi, strawberry, or the classic banana, or all at once! Our food trucks are original and come with pancakes. Why don't you take a look at our food trucks page?

  • HOT DRINKS

Whether it's different teas, hot lemon or chai, in winter we need something to warm us up. That's why hot beverages are all the rage and, more importantly, an important tool for food trucks to keep food truck fans happy and warm. During the winter, drinks like fresh ginger tea with honey and hot lemon are particularly popular. When it comes to Christmas, mulled wine and punch are also very popular (albeit somewhat alcoholic!).

  • PUMPKIN

Always on the cutting edge: pumpkin. Whether Hokkaido, pumpkin, or nutmeg is one of the most popular ingredients for the cold season. It is low in calories and contains calcium, zinc, and vitamins. A wide variety of dishes can be prepared with pumpkin. Pumpkin soup is a favorite to warm you up, but pumpkin risotto, pumpkin noodles, or pumpkin frittata also get attention on the plate.

  • POTATOES

Christmas is associated with tradition and family - what is more traditional and worldly than potatoes? This simple reasoning leads us to conclude that potatoes are a great addition to Christmas: rösti potatoes, potatoes au gratin, French fries, perhaps in the Chilli Cheese variant? Of course, sweet potatoes are always a variant as well.
