How to get your Food Truck Christmas ready

Posted on 12/08/2021 by FTB

Winter can be a low season for Food Trucks. A few weeks ago we wrote a blog about why Food Trucks would be a perfect solution for an original and safe Christmas party. Now the question that comes to your mind is of course: how can I make my Food Truck Christmas ready? We will give you all the tips & tricks so your Food Truck will be the shining star of Christmas.

  • PREPARATION IS KEY

Being prepared is the key to having a productive and stress-free Christmas season. These questions can help you keep calm when things get rough, whether you already started thinking about Christmas or not.

    PREPARATION IS KEY
    • What’s on my menu? Get your Menu Christmas ready! It of course depends on what kind of Food Truck you have and what’s on your regular menu. Think about how to spice your regular menu up. Some examples are freshly made waffles with chocolate sauce, a steamy pumpkin spice late, smoky barbecue beef brisket roll, and don’t forget the hot chocolate with whipped cream.
    • What equipment do I need?Do you want to decorate your Food Truck with a cozy Christmas tree or do you want to add some warm and welcoming fairy lights? Customers enjoy getting into the holiday mood, and if you don't keep up with the competition, you risk losing out. To improve footfall, try to make your Food Truck as welcoming as possible.
    • What’s my budget? It’s easier said than done to change your menu and buy additional decoration. You must think about the budget you have available for the holiday season.
    • Do I have enough staff? Christmas is a particularly hectic time of year, and you may discover that your current employees want some time off to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. If you must hire, do so a few weeks before the season begins to give yourself ample time to train new employees.
    • Do my customers know about my Christmas deals? Customers are shopping for gifts at this time of year, and they will buy - all you have to do is make sure they buy from you. Make irresistible offerings to entice your customers in. First, you need to decide if you want to have any Christmas deals. Then you can start thinking about how to communicate your fantastic deals to your customers. Post about your deals on your Social Media accounts and really get customers excited.

Of course, you may add on to this list, but it serves as a good starting point for wishing your consumers a happy holiday season.

  • FINAL NOTE

Don't forget that the holiday season is supposed to be a time of pleasure and fun. While sales may be your primary concern, don't overlook your personnel. Make preparations to show them how much you appreciate their efforts all year. Think about giving them gift cards, small gifts, or host a Christmas party for your staff!
