We are a German Sausage Cart that serves the most authentic German Food and Sausages in town.
We offer a variety of homemade sides that we are proud to say are German Authentic as well. We are based in Columbia, SC, and hope to visit a city or town near you. We now offer a full catering menu as well.
The Wurst Wagen is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Gerard and Erin Lin who share a love for authentic German food.
Our butcher is a German-trained master butcher, and all of our sides use local products. If we can’t find local we come up with different side for the day! All of our sausages are made with traditional German seasonings and bulk spices.
We are Certified South Carolina. Our sausages have no artificial coloring, no artificial flavoring, no liquid smoke, no fillers, and no MSG. They are all natural with less fat. All of our produce is from local growers.
Ask us how we can help your event! Full German menu available—not just wurst!

Our crew
Gerard was raised in Bavaria, Germany, in the small village of Siegsdorf. As a child he had many favorite German dishes, but Wuerste (sausages) were what he loved the most. He has many years in the food and restaurant industry and is energized to bring this love and experience to The Wurst Wagen. Gerard has a passion for traditional German recipes such as Curry Wurst, Wiener Wurst, and Nuernberger Wurst, and is excited to bring these and many others to you.
Gerard met his wife, Erin, in Columbia, South Carolina. It only took one trip to Germany for Erin to fall in love with the German food and the wurst kiosks. Erin has a business background with many years in finance and retail. It is this experience that keeps the wheels of the Wagen rolling.
